I am the owner and creator of DM Art. I have always been drawn to creating art. Painting abstract oceans and florals specifically. But in the past 5 years I added mixed media art to my portfolio. I enjoy the creative process of working with wood, textures, metallics, and resin. I love sharing my faith and love of crosses through these pieces of art. That has grown into a full time business of making crosses, angels, hearts, and more all on wood.
The featured Mini Angel Blocks are 2.5"x4.5" piece of wood that I cut and treat, then paint with acrylic medium and color. Then they are resined to get their glossy appearance.
As a local maker, what does it mean to you to be part of a flourishing community in Huntsville?
Huntsville has so many talented artists! And many of our small businesses love carrying local artists work. It is great to be a part of a town that supports the arts and small businesses.
