Graced Lettering
I began creating art in a season of grief and overwhelm. It was a therapeutic practice to create beautiful words and illustrations to express truths I found deeply meaningful in that season. As I have continued the journey, my art practice has grown to include new mediums and subject material, but it all comes from a desire to share hope and beauty with a hurting world.
My work is a mixture of tangible and digital mediums. I create artwork with watercolor and acrylics, then use an iPad to add lettering in the creation of greeting cards.
As a local maker, what does it mean to you to be part of a flourishing community in Huntsville?
I am a Huntsville area native and love being a part of the growing creative scene here. I believe makers have a unique role in contributing beauty to a city known for its engineering feats. As we all work together with the strengths we have been given, we have the opportunity to learn from one another and grow into a more compassionate community!
