Porta Spot Quilts

Market Exclusive

Hi, I'm Sarah

I have been a crafter all my life and love to create with my hands! When my oldest son was born in 2019, I wanted to make him something special that was handmade. I decided to learn how to quilt and have not been able to stop! I have been in business for 2 years now and have grown by the way of custom orders, markets, and word of mouth. I enjoy creating heirlooms for families to pass down and collaborating with customers to bring their vision to life.

The first order of business for making a quilt is picking out a quilt pattern! This would be the overall design of the finished quilt. After the pattern is decided, we start to look for fabrics. This is my favorite part! Once we have complementing fabrics, I hand cut and piece to make one big quilt top. Some quilts have up to 500 pieces! After the quilt top is finished, it is then quilted with the fluffiest batting and binded together. The last step is to wash and dry the quilt to give it crinkly goodness. The quilt process is tedious - but I promise I put love in every stitch!
